As this global disease continues to spread, serious questions must be raised about costs, treatments, and the race for a cure. How much of a role should the federal government play in research and in providing benefits for AIDS patients? Are pharmaceutical companies taking advantage of a captive population? Can interest groups push the search for a cure for AIDS to the top of the policy agenda?
